September 22, 2011The hotel itself was unique. I enjoyed the view of the Acropolis from my room.
Breakfast was not good. I expected a bit more effort for the price. I'm not a huge eater in the morning, but I still had a problem finding anything enjoyable apart from the yogurt. There was variety, but the quality was poor.

July 3, 2011It's a beautiful house, very close to Plaka, nearby the Athens Cathedral. We asked for a room with view to Acropolis, and we got it. The young men at the front desk that made our check-in was very, very kind and helpful. But when we made the check-out we were sure that we were paying only for the view. Nothing else. Because Magna Grecia Boutique Hotel didn't offer us nothing else that justifies the price we paid. Magna Grecia Boutique Hotel could do much better, but they really don't care: they have permanently the view. Surely, we don't recomend this hotel and we won't return.
We spent 22 days in Greece and during that time we were in three Greek Boutique Hotels. 2 of them excellent, this one very bad. This one cost more than double of each other. What is paid for this hotel is the only view that is actually very pretty lying on the Acropolis. The hotel is housed in a beautiful old house with very beautiful stucco and wood, but the state of conservation is not the best which sometimes creates the idea that may be dirty: it's not dirty. It is old and careless. The decor of our room was utterly neglected, with many mobile dissonant, very poor quality and no level to be integrated into a room of that beauty and the kind of hotel and price. The windows of our room were old and lacked any kind of isolation, which made all the sounds of the street were installed in our bed. At 6 am we woke up with strong, loud and incessant pealing of the bell of the Cathedral. Of course, for the price you pay and knowing that the cathedral bells ring early and high, justified treaty which had already put double glazing and soundproof windows. The breakfast was a total and complete disappointment. Very, very poor comparing other places we stood. The view of the Acropolis doesn´t deserve such a poor quality.

October 10, 2011Good location, close to Syntagma and Plaka.
Don't let them "upgrade" you: the suite's interior was shabby and worst of all: at only some 20 meters distance of the bell tower of the cathedral. We didn't sleep at all!

July 13, 2011Good location in old Plaka, Acropolis View rooms have particularly beautiful view, Girls at the front desk very helpful especially when one room was upgraded due to a A/C problem and when we were transferred to a different hotel due to the same A/C problem, Beautiful view from breakfast terrace and hotel restaurant, Wi-Fi working just perfect thru the entire hotel
Cheaper rooms have no exterior windows, Air conditioning broke down in both rooms in one weekend making it impossible to breathe let alone sleep (one room couldn't be exchanged so we switched to a different hotel), Poor breakfast

July 7, 2011Best proximity to city centre of Athens. It is located very close to the final stop of airport bus line (bus no. X95 - Syntagma square). Easy transfer from airport to hotel and major touring places. Nicely renovated inside. The clarks were very kind.
Air conditioner was working properly to make the temperature down. But it was old with lots of dusts in it. The smells coming out of ac wasn't pleasant in spite of suite room.

January 17, 2012The location was absolutely perfect for me. I lived in Athens in the past and this location is completely central to everything a traveler would need. It sits very close to two metro stations, near many restaurants, cafés (and even a brand new large ultra-modern Starbucks).
The breakfast could have been a bit more comprehensive but it was still rather nice. The views from the rooftop restaurant of the Parthenon and Acropolis were stunning! :)

December 15, 2011The hotel is in an excellent position for city trip, it's easy to take underground and to walk around the city. The receptionist are very nice and polite. Breakfast is served at the third floor on a fantastic terrace with Acropolys View. Our room was the 103, a bit small but perfect for us, with an amazing view.

November 25, 2011Quaint, historic building, location. Reminded us of a bed and breakfast in America. Spectacular view from the restaurant. They went out of their way for ud, giving us a to go breakfast when we had to check out at 6 am.
The bed sunk. You can't flush toilet paper so the hallway smelled.

November 11, 2011The only good things really were the location and the lobby.
The breakfast was like eating in a student hostel (it wouldn't have been hard to get it right), the coffee was awful, there was a ban on baths (no bathplugs were supplied and when I asked to get one, I was told simply 'no'), the beds were lumpy. Bedlinen was clean, though.

October 3, 2011Nice place to go around the city: to main square and Acropole. As well as go shopping. Wonderful room with very nice design, big windows and unbelivable view to Acropole. Comfortable bed.
The bath could be more new, but it's ok for functionality.

September 12, 2011Small and intimate. Roof terrace for breakfast, room was large airy and being an internal room was quiet. Staff were great, spoke fantastic English and were extremely helpful. Location is superb. You can walk to most key sites and hop on a tube or bus 5 mins away to airport or to other parts of the city
Dinner in the restaurant was over priced and not very good and the service was indifferent, although the view from the roof terrace was excellent

August 4, 2011Room pleasant and clean, we were upgraded for our second night to a room with view of the Acropolis which was nice. Air con in this room had some problems but that aside, i would stay again and recommend. The breakfast terrace is pretty special, looks up at the acropolis! very nice spot to have the first coffee of the day.

July 6, 2011Location was great, easy walking to shopping district and the acropolis. Views of the acropolis from balcony and breakfast were stunning. Breakfast very yummy. When we asked to get some clothes washed it was done in 3 hours for a very reasonable price.
The room on level one facing the street can be quite noisy. Staff didn't really know much about the city and what tourists would like to do.

A good location and the view.
Tha room was small and there was a leak in the shower and the bathroom was totaly wet... I spoke with reception about it, but they didn't do anything... This was in the room 103. My parents stayed at room 205 and they didn't have a window, their window were to corredor, in front the elevator!
